• PhD in theoretical physics, Lund University, 1982. Advisors: Bo Andersson and Gösta Gustafson.

Employment

• Postdoc in DESY, 1983-84.
• Postdoc at Fermilab, 1984-85.
• Assistant Professor in Lund, 1985-89.
• Junior staff at CERN, 1989-95.
• Special researcher in Lund, 1995-99.
• Professor in Lund 2000-.

Research Interests

QCD: initial- and final-state parton showers, multiparton interactions, and hadronization. Event generators: modelling and understanding of the complete event structure in hadronic and leptonic collisions, at accelerators such as LEP, Tevatron, LHC, and ILC/CLIC. Applications both to the exploration of the Standard Model and to physics beyond it.
