Bright Ideas on Dark Matters Workshop (BIDM 2014)

The BIDM 2014 is an informal but focused mini-workshop on recent developments in theoretical dark matter research. The workshop aims to stimulate a focused and collaborative atmosphere and the workshop also functions as a kick-off to the BIDM visitor program at CP3-Origins throughout 2014.

The workshop and visitor programme is funded by the Sapere Aude Grant no. 11-120829 from the Danish Council for Independent Research.

Participation in the workshop is by invitation only. All locals are welcome to attend the talks and discussions.

Participants

Location

The workshop is hosted by CP3-Origins at the main campus of the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark. During the first week the talks will take place in rooms U49, U49B and U49D , see the program for details. The rooms are located next to CP3-Origins  and will also serve as work space for the participants.

Travel Information

There are direct trains from the Copenhagen airport to Odense train station. You can also stop first at the central train station in Copenhagen and then take the first train to Odense. With the fast direct train, the ride is about 90 minutes. From the railway station in Odense, you can take bus number 40, 41 or 42 labelled Universitetet that drives directly to the university.

The buses stop just outside the City Hotel on its way to the university (final stop) – a ~20 min ride. From the train station to the City Hotel its a short walk

Workshop dinner

Workshop dinner first week thursday at 8 o’clock at restaurant no 61 Kongensgade 61. Workshop dinner second week at 8 o’clock at restaurant Lei-K  Brandts Passage 33-35. Dinners are free for invited (non-CP3) participants. All are welcome on a first signed up first served basis since the restaurants only have a small number of slots so please sign up with Ian or Mads asap.
