Abstract: The mystery of the identity of dark matter in the universe remains unsolved. In this talk, I will briefly review the experimental situation, and also discuss some the the most popular proposed candidates, and predictions for the various direct and indirect detection methods that have been proposed. Expectations for the near-term and long-term future in this field will be given. The level of the talk will be introductory.
