Deadline: December 1, 2011
Job Location: Odense, Denmark
We expect three or more openings according to funding availability at the postdoctoral level in particle physics and cosmology with emphasis on beyond standard model, inflation, astroparticle physics, collider phenomenology (both SM and BSM), and lattice field theory.
The candidates are expected to start their positions in September 2012. The successful candidates should be extremely dynamical, analytically minded individuals and highly skilled. We are happy to receive your expressions of interest all year long. However, preference is given to enquiries received before December 1 every year.
The Centre for Particle Physics Phenomenology, dedicated to the understanding of the origins of bright and dark matter in the universe (CP3-Origins), is one of the new generation of centres of excellence chosen by the Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF) to receive significant funding for the next several years. The CP3-Origins centre has best supercomputer resources in Denmark dedicated to the project Origin of Mass on Supercomputers and a very strong network of international collaborators. Currently, we are world leaders in models of dynamical breaking of the electroweak symmetry, its phenomenological consequences for colliders and cosmology. We are also leading the investigations of the phase diagram of gauge theories of fundamental interactions.
One of the positions is expected to be funded directly by the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) of which CP3-Origins is an integral part, under the project From the beginning of time to life supported by the VKR Foundation. The researcher selected under DIAS is expected to have demonstrated to possess exceptional scientific qualities, and to be willing to communicate its research at public lectures and to take active part in DIAS’s highly interdisciplinary outreach events.
