Alessandro Agugliaro joins CP3-Origins

January 10, 2019

On Janaury 1st, Alessandro Agugliaro joined CP3-Origins as Postdoctoral Researcher. He just concluded his PhD at University of Florence, under the supervision of Dr Stefania De Curtis. During his doctoral studies, his efforts have been focused on the study of composite extensions of the Standard Model, and in particular on the characterization of models where the Higgs is a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson of a spontaneously broken symmetry. In addition, he considered the possibility of having a partially composite Higgs field, namely a superposition between an elementary and a composite field. This is an interesting option, as it constitutes a potential UV completion of the SM, and automatically reproduces its flavour structure.
In the near future he plans to continue his work on composite theories, and to tackle also more formal aspects of QFT, such as beta-function resummation at large number of flavours.
