CP3 Journal Club: Simplified models for direct detection at one loop and connection to neutrino masses

Given the stringent upper limits from direct detection experiments, one possibility is that dark matter scatters with nuclei only at the loop level. In the first part of the talk, I will discuss direct detection signals of simplified models of a fermionic singlet. We impose current limits and analyse how direct detection experiments can constrain the dark matter parameter space. In the second part, I will discuss an example of a model with neutrino masses at one loop. I will discuss the phenomenology of the model and specially how the relic abundance can be obtained.
