ignorePankaj Jain from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur will be visiting CP3-Origins from May 31 to July 9 under the umbrella of the CP3-World program. His recent research has been working on the idea that the universe is anisotropic or inhomogeneous on large distance scales. His work involves both cosmological data analysis and anisotropic models. He has related the observed hemispherical anisotropy in CMBR to noncommutative space-time and argued that the observed signal of anisotropy might arise due to modes generated during the pre-inflationary anisotropic expansion of the Universe.
