Searching for Supersymmetry with ATLAS at the LHC

Who: Iacopo Vivarelli (Sussex)
When: Monday, November 21, 2016 at 14:15
Where: The CP³ meeting room

Despite the absence of experimental evidence, weak scale supersymmetry remains one of the best motivated and studied Standard Model extensions. After a brief phenomenological overview, the talk will summarise recent results from searches for the production of SUSY particles in ATLAS via either strong or electroweak production, emphasizing the strategies and motivations leading to specific experimental choices. Searches for long-lived SUSY particles will be discussed as well.
