Radiatively induced Fermi Scale in Grand Unified Theories

We show that it is possible to construct Grand Unified Theories in which all the scalar sectors have a common spontaneous symmetry breaking scale, and the Fermi scale emerges radiatively. We show that this scenario is viable when the Higgs is an elementary pseudo-Goldstone boson and elucidate the required features of the model. These alternative scalar sector constructions in Grand Unified Theories enlarge the model space for fermion mass generation as well as cosmic inflation.
