On July 1, Tommi Alanne joined CP3-Origins. He got his PhD in Theoretical Physics in June 2015 at the University of Jyväskylä. The thesis was titled Beyond the Standard Model via extended symmetries and dark matter, and it was done under the supervision of Doc. Kimmo Tuominen (University of Helsinki). He also collaborated closely with the CP3-Origins already during his PhD studies.
His main research interests concentrate on the phenomenology of the electroweak symmetry breaking and dark matter, and more broadly on the bSM model building. Recently, he has focused on the extensions of the Standard Model scalar sector with interesting electroweak phenomenology and simultaneously a candidate for dark matter in the Universe.
