Two PhD Fellowships at CP3-Origins

April 16, 2015

Deadline: 2015-05-12

Gravimetrische Wellen (c) EdenwithinThe Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP3-Origins) and the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense invite applications for up to two PhD positions. We expect the positions to be filled in the area of strongly interacting theories beyond the standard model, collider phenomenology, astroparticle physics, cosmology and lattice field theory.

We are looking for outstanding and competitive candidates with a clear potential to excel in high-energy physics.

The CP3-Origins is a centre of excellence recently established by the Danish National Research Foundation, dedicated to the understanding of the origins of bright and dark matter in the universe. We are among the world leaders in studies of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking, its phenomenological consequences and the phase diagram of gauge theories. CP3-Origins offers an extremely dynamical and exciting working environment. The centre has active collaborations with leading scientists in Europe, USA and Japan.

The appointment will be for a term of three (5+3 programme for applicants with a Master’s degree) or four (4+4 programme for students who have not yet finished their Master studies) years at very competitive salary and it is expected to start as soon as possible and no later than September 2015. Prospective candidates are required to include in the application at least two letters of recommendation. The application deadline is 12 May 2015.

For any further questions please contact Professor Francesco Sannino or Professor WSR Claudio Pica.
