Dark Matter Models with Significant Signatures

In this talk I will present two simplified models for dark matter and will discuss some of their signatures. The first model is based on a Z’ extension of the SM, in which the Z’ is allowed to decay into dark matter particles. In this case, I will emphasize the potential complementarity between direct detection and collider searches. The second model is based on a fermionic portal: the dark matter, in the form of scalar singlet, is coupled to SM fermions through heavy vector-like fermions. I will that this model has potentially very remarkable gamma-ray spectral features.
