The cosmic webWe expect 3 or more openings according to funding availability at the postdoctoral level in particle physics and cosmology with emphasis on conformal aspects of quantum field theories, beyond standard model physics, cosmology, astroparticle physics, collider phenomenology (both SM and BSM), and lattice field theory.

The successful candidates should have demonstrated exceptional potential to excel in scientific research and a strong publication record. We are happy to receive your expressions of interest all year long. However, full consideration will be given to enquiries received before the 1st of December every year.

The candidates are expected to start their positions in September 2015.

The Centre for Particle Physics Phenomenology, dedicated to the understanding of the origins of bright and dark matter in the universe (CP3-Origins), is one of the new generation of centres of excellence chosen by the Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF) to receive significant funding for the next several years. The centre is the main column of the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS).

The CP3-Origins centre has access to significant supercomputer resources in Denmark and has a very strong network of international collaborators. The centre is a world leading institute for in models of composite dynamics, dynamical breaking of the electroweak symmetry, its phenomenological consequences for colliders and cosmology.

The permanent research members are Michele Della Morte, Mads Frandsen, Chris Kouvaris, Claudio Pica, Thomas Ryttov, Francesco Sannino, and Martin Sloth.

One postdoctoral position is funded by a Villum Foundation grant of Associate Prof. Mads T Frandsen. For this position the successful applicant must have attained the PhD degree within 3 years of the application date. In agreement with the grant, preference is given to the fields of hep-ph and astro-ph for this position.

More information about the centre research and outreach activities can be found on our website.
