We are very proud to announce that Jens Krog, an outstanding CP3 graduate student, has received the special “New Talent” award for the best talk in theoretical physics at the famous International School for Subnuclear Physics in Erice.
Jens’ talk regarding the work Weyl Consistency Conditions and its fundamental consequences on correctly organised perturbation theory was evaluated by a panel of international experts in particle physics, and deemed best in the category. The published work was done in collaboration with Oleg Antipin, Marc Gillioz, Esben Mølgaard and Francesco Sannino. The news about this work and a detailed explanation of its relevance can be found here.
This years course was the 52nd of its kind in Erice and concerned the “Status of theoretical understanding and of experimental power for LHC physics and beyond”, and was attended by more than a hundred aspiring students from all over the world, as well as a large selection of invited scientists, this year including Gerard ’t hooft and George Zweig, who are seen handing Jens his diploma.” Jens will be joining Fermilab, US in the fall for a six month research visit.
