Bound states and resonances from scattering on the lattice

Rigorous treatment of near-threshold bound states and resonances still presents a challenge for lattice simulations. A possible way to treat them is to simulate the corresponding scattering on the lattice and extract the phase shifts above and below threshold. As an example, I will present results for the charmonium(like) state X(3872) and the scalar meson Ds0(2317), which are shallow bound states in the DD* and DK channels, respectively. Search for the recently discovered  charged charmonium-like state Zc+(3900) will be reviewed.  I will also discuss strange, charmed and charmonium resonances.
